can a service guy get a little help on a new service grounding/bonding question?

1000 amp 120/208 3 phase Y
3 sets 600 kcmil THW AL

the electrodes that i have are
1. copper water service
2. footing ground (maybe, havent found out yet)
3. building steel

so this is what i make of 250.66 and the handbook exhibits..

1. 3/0 cu to a ground plate 1/4" thick
2. 3/0 cu from ground plate to water service
3. footing ground which i assume will be #4 cu to ground plate
4. also bond bldg steel @ one column from ground plate with 3/0?

thanks

Thanks, no special reason i guess, just what i have ran across. All grounding conductors ran to one bar and hypressed. I could just as easy go to the MDP with them now that i think about it.

I am doing this work our church, not really what the type of work i am used to doing, but it should be fun.

Oh so you mean a copper plate that you use to make all of the connections. I thought that you meant an article 250 ground plate electrode that you bury in the ground.

that's what I thought originally, too. Just make sure it's 2" wide as well as 1/4" thick. (I've been doing a lot of reaading in 250 lately ;) )
