Hello,
I am trying to figure out the service requirements for an addition to my home. I will be hiring a licensed electrician to handle the actual work but I am in the planning stages and have not been able to find someone able to do the calculations for me. I was trained in basic electrical principals by the US Air Force and understand the math side of things. I've also spent a bunch of time familiarizing myself with the code but I've never done this before and have no experience. I believe in educating myself and not blindly following anyone so I'm hoping those of you with more experience and know how will help me understand my options.
I have an existing 200 amp service and the big question is whether I have to upgrade service. The tankless water heater requires 3 separate 40 amp 240 volt branch circuits.
Please let me know if my calculations are correct and if not where I went wrong. I truly appreciate your time and any help you can provide.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Here it goes.
I pulled my plate information from every piece of equipment in my house.
