Hi there,
I have a customer who wants me to bid on this job. The job is outside kitchen. The building is going to 20ft x 16ft. with height of 10-12ft and counter top on all four sides. The panel is about 150ft away. I am going to dig the all distance to bring A 30 amp 240 subpanel to feed the kitchen area.
I have already estimated the job, the customer is new and I really would like to establish a good working relationship with GC. I would like to see how much you this job for would.

Two Flood Lights to be installed at east corner
Fountain outlet receptacle 120 v
One outlet receptacle above fire place for Tv

Eight outlet receptacle, above counter , If applicable two out let per side
Wire in two ceiling fan with switch
Four six inch recessed lights fixture

TOTAL Estimated Cost >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thank you

Is this on a raised floor or on slab, if slab then I'd run back underground for branch
runs. Your going to have to work very closely with the cabinet drawing, they don't site on 2x 4's

You'll have to run maybe two additional pipes from the house demark

for any combination of both telephone/cables, CAT6, intercom, or the lastest bell and whisler.

Everything should be GFCI in the panel or at individual runs where desired! You
certainly don't want ugly bubble covers everywhere, flap covers might be the
best you can do, and that would be on the AHJ's call!

I arranged (at best guess) what I think you can group or circuit together.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
One outlet receptacle above fire place for TV, and the additional pipe

One outlet for trash compactor
One outlet for Grill ( if applicable) I'll assume these are close
Fountain outlet receptacle 120V This might need it's own circuit...

Wire in two ceiling fan with switch
Four six inch recessed lights fixture
Two Flood Lights to be installed at east corner

One outlet for freezer. Noting that there is no mention of are refrigerator?

One outlet under the sink for tank less hot water. The smallest at 30Amps alone,
your
going to have to confirm this!
----------------------------------------------------------
Sorry can't help on the price, hope you don't mind my break down, but I agree with mjf the implied service will be small.

Without doing any calculations...... I think more than 30amp is called for.

I third that.
There are a lot of unknowns in this job. Soil conditions, dig with a machine or by hand.

May be a good candidate for time and material. You say you have already estimated the job. Just hope you don't screw your self trying to impress a GC. They are such a group of upstanding people to work for :happysad:

Thank you

"trenching by others" is the first caveat.
if there is gonna be a trench for water,
can you use it as well? sewer connection?
they are gonna have water running in the
kitchen, yes?

a kitchen on 30 amps? nope.

60 minimum, based on connected loads
you have specified. there are always more
things hooked up in a kitchen than you plan
for. and i'd use LED lighting everywhere to
reduce the load.

the iphone app tells me that aluminum wire,
with a 120 volt circuit, 60 amps at 150 feet,
to stay under the new 2% voltage drop for
feeders, needs to be 3/0. for 3% voltage drop,
1/0 will give you 3.01%, and i'd roll with that.
i think calif is the only one holding you to 2%
on feeders at this time.

so, with a ground, 2" conduit. 2 1/2" if you
don't have a tugger.

i'm not gonna do your takeoff for you, but
i'd put in 40 hours, just a swag, on labor.
that is $3k, not counting any profit, on the
labor alone.

you did want to make some profit.... yes?

And determine whether it is a primary tankless heater for the sink water or just a very small tank "InstaHot" unit to provide extra hot water for beverages, etc.
