Can I get some help identifying this identified cable insulation type? My drawings say 2 per phase 500 KCMIL THW, but I'm pretty sure this insulation is not THW. All I need to do is figure out what my de-rated ampacity is. Should I just use the 60°C column?

Thanks

Looks like a rubber insulated conductor like RHW because it does not appear to be thermoplastic like THW.

That's not THW, it's not even TW. I tore some wire out that looked like that out of an old airplane hangar built in the fifties that looked like that. It was cloth or cambric over rubber. I wouldn't go any higher than the 60 degree scale.

how old are the original feeders? If old, might be tarred linen or even cotton, but would probably show cracks if that. .

Think the RHW already mentioned is likely correct answer.

It might also be RH which is not water resistant.
