Just trying to find a formula for calculating what kind of load I would have by adding a 600 kvar cap bank at 7200v. I thought I had one but can't find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help!! Need help with Capacitor/Amp calculations

Depends on what you add it to. You need to know the existing KVAR and KW.

Take the existing KVAR from your (presumably) inductive loads, and subtract the KVAR of your cap bank. That gives you your net KVAR. You square that number, and you square the value of KW, and add them. The square root of that value is you net KVA.
