This is for my system I will be starting soon. I think I am going with 63 235 watt panels, that is 14,805 watts. Kinda an awkward number to string, maybe I can find a place for one more. I am definitely going with fronius inverters since I get a good price on them from my supplier and they do 1kv strings. I dont have software to calculate dc/ac ratio so I am just winging it (anyone want to crunch it for me? :angel
I am thinking a bit on the lower side since the array will be due south, tilt we be ideal (34 degrees), and I am in the northeast where it is cool/cold. They make a 12.5 which puts me at about 1.2. Or I could go with 2 inverters and there are lots of permutations in the ballpark: 6+7.6, 5+7.6, 5+8.2.... Two inverters is about a $300-$350 increase but gets me 4 MPPT's. Think its worth the added cost?
