QUESTION
35. AFCI protection is required for all 15- and 20-ampere, 120-volt branch-circuits supplying outlets located in _____.

A. boat houses
B. recreational vehicles
C. all guest rooms and guest suites of hotels and motels
D. guest rooms and guest suites of hotels and motels that are provided with
permanent provisions for cooking

ANSWER
35. B -Boat houses and recreational vehicles do not require all 15- and 20-ampere,
120 volt branch circuits to be provided with AFCI protection. But in
compliance with Section 210.18, guest rooms and suites in hotel and motels
that are provided with permanent cooking facilities are governed by the same
rules for dwelling units addressed in Section 210.12(A), which states AFCI
protection is required for the branch circuits.

[FONT=Calibri,Calibri]this is from a practice exam I used to study with.
[FONT=Calibri,Calibri]can someone explain why the answer is "B" when first line of answer states opposite? is it a type-o? I chose "D" since it was straight from 210.18.

...can someone explain why the answer is "B" when first line of answer states opposite? is it a type-o? I chose "D" since it was straight from 210.18.

The answer listed is B because it is a typo. The rest of the explanation directly repeats the wording of answer D.
