125 lot RV park with milbank power pedestals which have a 50,30, and a 20amp recepticle in each. Taking the highest 50 @ 9600 va (code)and the 41% derating factor and / by 240 I get 2050 or so amps. That sound right? Or can i take the required percentages 3% for 50 amp and 70% for 30 amp and the remaing at the 20 amp number and calculate the service like that??? EVEN THOUGH ALL HAVE 50 AMP RECEPTICLES IN THEM. Or do they all need to be calculted at 9600 va because of the 50 amp recepticle in them. Power Co. engineer thinks 400 amp is fine and is going to compare with other park demands around. Any ideas would help. thanks

Re: help w/ rv park service calk???

551.73(A) requires that every campsite that has a 50 amp receptacle be calculated at 9600 va.
