Hello, I have a Dryer and Roof Damper that needs to open/close together. Also I need to make sure the damper will not be left open at the end of the day after use. Will a time clock be a good idea? both are 120v.

I thought about sharing both load in the same circuit and running then through a time clock. The Dryer manufacturer does not included schematic for this, and also is not providing a terminal for the Roof damper operation, as it used to be the case years ago.

Thank you much

There's no interlock for a booster fan?

My suggestion would be to install a sail switch in the exhaust duct. They are pretty cheap and easy to install. As long as the dryer is moving air the sail switch will be closed.

And if the damper is closed no air will move. Catch 22. I have put a current sensing relay in the dryer branch circuit before.

Thank you all, the time clock was suggested , but I was not comfortable at all.

I'll make the damper close with a current sensing relay, thank you much.
