Hello Everyone,
I've been asked to run power for an elevator. If anyone could help me with the calculations I would really appreciate it.
Power is 208 volt 3 phase.
Motor HP is 25
Starting A/C amps is 236
Total (Full load motor) A/C amps is 114
Rated A/C amps is 78.7
Short circuit current rating (At 600v) is 5000 amps
I've come up with these calculations
FLC x 140%
114 x 1.4=159.6 amps for wire size
OCPD
78.7 amps x 250%=196.75 amps
Which size and type of fuses and disconnect should I use? Are my calcs correct?
Hate to burn them, but Thyssen Krupp will not offer any info besides the short paragraph above.
Your help will be much appreciated!!!!
