i am relocating 3 individual single phase meters to the opposite side of a building, two are 100 amp and the third is a 200 amp. the new location is to be a 3 gang meter assembly supplied by 500 mcm copper overhead utilities. there are two apartments with one being a 100amp and the other a 200amp, the third meter will supply a soda shop and will be 100 amp. currently the individual meters supply a load center at its own designated location by means of seu cable. the new meters will have its own individual CB disconnects in which the now to be feeders will enter a wireway. the addition of the service disconnects would make each individual load center a sub panel requiring separation of neutrals and grounds. my question is how to properly ground the cold water pipe with the new disconnects and the gec and does this all have to be a continous path? also would each ground passing through the wireway have to be bonded independently to the wireway? all of the raceways are pvc. im sure of what i have in mind is not correct.

Re: help with grounding a service

Are you using a gutter to mount your new meters and disconnects, or a 3 position meter stack with built in main breakers?

Re: help with grounding a service

the meter bank assembly does not contain the disconnects as one unit, all three meters are ganged having each meter nippling down into a separate disconnect and then down to a gutter.
