Help with Grounding Satellite Dish

I will be putting up a satellite soon and need some help with the grounding aspect. I am not an electrician, but I have been lurking here for a while, reading and searching, but have not found an answer to my question. Any help you could provide me would be greatly appreciated. Now for my question.

I will be putting the dish up on the north side of the house, a couple of feet from where the electrical service comes to the house via an aerial feed. The messenger wire caries the other two cables into a 1 inch emt conduit that runs to the meter about 25 feet away. I?ve opened the cover on the breaker panel in the house and I can see what looks like the messenger wire lands on the neutral bus bar.

Would it be acceptable to use a split ground bolt on the messenger wire before it enters the conduit, and a piece of #6 copper wire to a ground distribution block, and from there ground the mast, dish, coax grounding block etc. etc.

I understand that I need to ground to the same point the rest of the electrical system is grounded to, to eliminate the ground loop potential. Does this scenario meet those requirements or does in need to be grounded after the messenger lands on the neutral bus bar?

Like I said before, I am not an electrician but I feel I understand the basic concepts of electrical systems. If I am way off on my statements, could you tell me the proper way to accomplish grounding my satellite dish? I am not opposed to hiring an electrician but naturally would like to do this a cost effectively as possible.

Thanks so much in advance.

Re: Help with Grounding Satellite Dish

No, what you propose does not meet the NEC minimum requirements. I suggest you contract a professional to install this system for you for your own protection.
