Hey guys,

We got a new pool this year and the electrician used this junction box to connect (2) 120V underwater LED lights. It is connecting hot, neutral, and ground inside the box - then he connected it to the grounding grid they put in around the pool which is the bare copper wire.

It is in plain sight and we do not like the look of it. We have been thinking about trying a fake rock over it - but I don't think that will look that much better. It is not in a good location for plant - which would have been the easiest fix...

Is there some other junction box that you can use for this? Maybe something that the top would be equal to ground level? Something that could be installed using the existing 2 conduits?

I could use the existing box and move it down - however he said we needed the plastic expansion joint fittings that are on there

Any thoughts? Thank you

Sounds like your electrician is correct, the box needs to be elevated above the maximum water level. IMO it will need to stay as is (possible lowered slightly) or be completely moved to a different more obscure location.
