on the business end of the test, all of the questions related to taxes and such will already have the percentages you need provided in the question. i never once picked up my circular E. there were a couple of asset vs. liability questions, and just some general insurance questions. i didn't have a book for those, but had went to the TH class and they covered it there. there are a number of different tests, but mine mostly covered welder feeders, pools, transformers, and motors. the welders were simple; they give you the duty cycle and such and you just fill in the blanks using your code book. pools were no sweat. all it wanted was required distances for GP receps and things of that nature. all the transformer questions were 1:2 and 2:1 ratios. you also had to identify types of connections from diagrams, wye's, delta's, etc. . . motors were not hard either. they would ask a questions based on code letter, ask how to reverse, etc. . . i studied my butt off too up until the night before. take that night off. there's a 'buffalo's' right around the corner from the galleria, so you can load up on wings and beer. you have 4 hours for each section; i finished each within an hour and took about 30 min. to look over my work. i wasn't the only one leaving early either. the guy sitting next to me had EVERY book on the reference list, tabbed, and when we came back from lunch said he didn't finish the first part. the point is, don't spend too much time looking up answers. skip what you can't find within a couple of minutes and come back to it later. you can take a bottle of something in there to drink also. don't expect the test to start on time. i got there @ 7AM and we didn't start until 9AM, so if you're running a little late don't worry too much. take your ugly's with you too, and if you have any illegal stuff, fyi they will be checking all of your materials again while you're gone to lunch. that's all i can think of for now.
