Hi can any one help

I just bought a 2-pole 240 Volt 200 amp 3-wire fused disconnect to put in a new garage. I will be getting 200 amp service and this will be my disconnect. The fuses that came in it are both 200 Amp each...... I thought the fuses would be 100 Amps each equaling 200 amps total since its a 200 Amp disconnect. am i right or wrong???
