Has anyone installed parallel PE insulated ACSR conductors in 3 phase overhead low voltage distribution line? Is it permitted?
Say 3 bundle of 4/0 ACSR per phase in a 3 phase system suspended in air. All 3 conductors are bundled with each other with no distance separation.

Thank you!

The power companies do it routinely, with a little spacing. To me, it's no different than running parallel conductor sets in PVC.

POCOs have many years of experience in engineering cable loading so for them its well worked out. I asked if it was a feeder or service as a feeder needs an insulated neutral.

Although it is routinely accepted, note that most ASCR cables are not a NEC recognized insulated conductor and not permitted on anm install under NEC jurisdiction.

What phase and voltage? Is this a service or a feeder?

It is 3 phase , 230 volts. Yes it is a Feeder.
the length is more or less 60 meters and its is an overhead distribution, so I want to use ACSR due to its less weight and it is stronger due to the steel reinforced.

Thanks for the reply. I will bundle the 3 conductor of the same phase with each other without any spacing. will there be no issue on the electrical properties of the bundled conductors?

I will not be using conduit since it is an overhead installation. I only have 1 neutral and is separated from the 3 phases and it is also overhead installed.
It runs along with the three phase conductors but seperated a certain distance.

If it is a feeder doesn't it need an equipment grounding conductor?

Yes and an insulated neutral conductor, I have used quadraplex before, but for 480 3 Phase with no neutral and the ASCR for the EGC. And as pointed out what the POCOs use we can't use as its not listed. What I used was listed and it took some searching to find it
