Hello

I was wondering where I would find information on high pressing compression connectors for termination?

I am high pressing 500kcmil wire to a connector and bonding to my busbar in my switchgear. My specific question is is there a minimum amount of times that you should crimp each lug? Some people say 3 some people say 4.

What do you all do? Industry standard? Nec rule (aside from just whatever the manufacturer says)?

The only code compliant method is to follow the manufacturers directions along with the correct tool for the termination.

I generally look for the number of rings put on the terminal by the manufacturer and use that as the basis for the minimum number of crimps. I have seen guys put on as many crimps as they can fit.

depends on the lug. these were crimped once, and are code compliant.

What kind of lugs are those?

I don't have the manufacturer instructions unfortunately. Thank you for all your replies

Those are pin adapters.

You may not have the instructions but you do have the internet, in most cases you can find the instructions on the manufacturers web site.
