iwire Moderator Staff member Location Massachusetts Sep 10, 2004 #2 Re: hid fixtures They must have a plug and receptacle if rubber cord is used. The only time I know you can hardwire a fixture with rubber cord is when it requires adjusting or aiming after installation.
