Hello gents..I have what maybe a silly question but I must admit I haven't dealt with these a whole lot. Customer has several of these and asked me to look why one wasn't working at the very end of the day.
First off the bulb was bad BUT when I put a meter to the fixture I was getting 285V output. 240V Single Phase feed, do these by nature put out that high of voltage? Wasn't sure if perhaps it was normal for the bulb to function properly etc. I was going to do the obvious which would be check a few others BUT it was end of the day and they weren't hanging around for that...........funny how they want it fixed but don't want to wait a few extra minutes for trouble shooting.:roll:
