Wiring in a 3 phase 220v cnc machine. Transformer will be right next to cnc using EMT.
We have 480 3 phase.
Normally use wye secondary or use ungrounded.
Manufacturer states it has to be grounded and can use corner or center on delta, or neutral if wye.
Had a delta delta transformer with X4 terminal.

Secondary side of a wye transformer we would bond X0, EGC, SBJ, and run Grounding Electrode to building steel.

Does anything change with this high-leg delta?
I think just treat it the same as a wye and bond X4, EGC, SBJ, and run Grounding Electrode to building steel.

Thank You.

You can ground any point from a theory perspective, but grounding more than one point creates a short circuit between those two points.

That said X4 is the standard designation for the "neutral" of a 4 wire delta system.

X0 is standard designation for a true "neutral" (same volts to all other terminals) like you have with a wye system

Yes, that is correct. You stated 220 volt. Is 240 volt going to be an issue?
No, The machine has multitap control transformers and we changed them to 240v.

Thanks everyone for the replies. This is the first high-leg Delta I've hooked up. The machine is running and we should be making parts soon.
