Is a BR230 breaker rated for use on the high leg?
I have a cut sheet that says 120 vac , 120/240 vac. and 240 vac.
But I cannot find a picture of one marked as such. I can see this being questioned in the field.

I think you would need a BR230H for a 240V rated breaker.

I don't see a BR230H in the Eaton catalog I just looked at. They have a BRH230 but it is a 22K breaker sill rated at 120/240

The only 240 volt breakers they show are 3P. Even in the CH line they only show 240 for 3P.

I just got a call from Eaton tech support and they confirmed that the breaker we need is a BR230H.
What's strange about is I have a cut sheet from Eaton's catalog that says BR230's are 120 vac. , 120/240 vac. and 240 vac.
But if you search a BR230H it shows a straight 240 vac rating.

OK, I looked again and found them. Had to scroll down a few more pages to the "Special Application" breakers. Don't know why they don't show them with all of the other 1/2/3 pole breakers.

Maybe you didnt see it because they are in a different section "special application circuit breakers."

pages 3-65 for 120/240 with various AIC (BRXXX, BRHXXX,BRHHXXX) and page 3-74 for straight 240 rated (BRXXXH)

Edit: Ok you win, you found it

I am actually surprised they make a straight rated 2 pole in a BR. I am pretty sure I remember hearing some lines they dont make them and will just tell you to use a three pole. Maybe that was Siemens? Or maybe that was just a dream.....
