I have been hearing rumors to the effect that HPS Bulbs are going to be phased out real soon. Is this true? If you don't know would you know where I might find out. Thanks for your time and help.

You would probably have to ask a congressman. It seems they know "bulbs" these days.

Even if(?) they are phased out, the lamps and ballast will be around for years to come! There are a lot of HPS systems in use today!
