Hello, not sure if I am in the right forum but need some help with my kwh usage. I am comparing my usage to last year and something is going on. Last February I was averaging 40 kwh a day. I have a pool pump and the temps were in the 80's so I have to think the air was running a little. I have been noticing my usage going on. I did not run the ac yesterday and my usage was 51. Last February most of the days usage was in the 30's and 40's. My wife did do a couple of loads of laundry the other day when the usage was 51. Is there anything that can be causing this? We had a new a/c put in on 3/21 so the a/c did not run between 8 am and 4 pm but yet the usage during that time frame was just as much or more as other days when the ac did run.

Can the meter be messed up? Can the water heater be malfunctioning? During the night between midnight and 6 am the usage is under 1kwh, I would think that means the meter and hot water heater may be working correctly. Thaks

This is something that can be speculated on from afar ad nauseum. It really takes a qualified electrician investigating it with the right tools at your sight to give you any meaningful advice.
