I have a question regarding high voltage cable cleaning . I was told that when you are preparing a high voltage termination that you want to clean the insulation from the conductor toward the semiconductor . I believe this is so you don't drag the semiconductor onto the clean insulation because it can cause tracking . My question is what happens if you get the cable cleaner on the semiconductor? Does it break down the semiconductor or will everything be okay as long you keep your insulation clean ?
