Dear mike,in an exsisting office complex with a vault that has a new 13,800 volt feeder after the primary fuses installed that runs exsposed in rigid conduit approx. 60 feet across the ceiling
then goes outside to anew trans. pad that drops it down to 277/480 at 2000 amps. is the feeder at 13,800 volt allowable in your opinion thank you

p.s. does the primary fusing constitute a service disconnect that is owned by complex and is inside a vault, there is a knifeblade disconnect switch

Re: High voltage feeder (13,800 volts)

If these are not service entrance conductors than I would say the installation is fine. There is no voltage limitation on conductors installed in RMC. If these conductors were in a location accessible to qualified personnel only than any of the wiring methods listed in 300.37 would be permitted.
