As long as were talking testers this weekend, I have my finger on the trigger to by this. I use an Ideal 61-520? but on large conductors/lugs it takes 4 hands to test. This tester is pricey but I just finished a small where I used the ideal 10-12 times in 2 days.

Anyone spring for this yet?(Brian John?)

I'm not sure I understand quite why you believe it would take 4 hands to use? A non-contact phase rotation meter just clamps around the conductor's insulation, much like an amp clamp. I'm not even sure you can use it on lugs.

Marc, Chris is talking about the Ideal 61-520 taking four hands to use, not the Hioki.

We use an Ideal 61-521 (3-Phase Motor Rotation Tester) on our jobs. I like it but have never used any other kind.
