Is there a specific high output 4' T8 lamp? I see fixtures that are being sold as high output, is it the ballast that allows for that designation? I did notice that the ballasts in the "HO" had a lower temp rating and a higher power factor.I guess what I'm getting at is if you have a lamp that produces 2800 lumens, will it produce more with a different ballast?

You need to pair an HO lamp with the correct HO ballast.
Otherwise either the lamp or the ballast or both can be damaged.
High output is not the same as high efficiency, and the efficiency and high power factor of the HO ballast are side effects of the newer design rather than being part of high output.

A normal lamp may produce more lumens connected to an HO ballast or it may not work at all or burn out quickly.
