Don't have hoist data sheet but I'm going to feed it with 200A at 480v. Have a 120/277v source so will need step up xfmr.

Seems pretty obvious but looks like need 225kva xfrm to deliver proper power to hoist, correct?

That data sheet is for a step down transformer, and while you can reverse wire it, it would be better if you get a step up transformer. If you use the one on the sheet, you will have to run the 480 volt secondary as a ungrounded system requiring ground detectors or as a corner grounded system.

As Don stated you're better off using the correct Delta/Wye step up transformer. I believe that some of these hoists have a VFD which may not like the corner grounded system.

Thanks...geez my brain hurts. Corner grounded, delta/wye!!
A transformer with a delta secondary would either be ungrounded ( requiring ground detectors) or corner grounded (drives often aren't comparable with either) whereas a wye secondary (470Y/277) avoids those problems. If you have a 208 primary you are normally better off with a step-up delta, wye transformer
