Holding Tank for Sewage Ejector Pumps

Usually we'll find a round "liner" or concrete extension for accessing the tank brought up to grade level. We'll mount a PVC box on the inside of the liner and bring the cords from the pumps and floats into this box. We'll often put a seal off to prevent sewer gas from following the conduits back to the house. The pump companies usually provide the controllers. Do you have more specific questions or issues?

I've seen some guys use receptacles inside the tanks with weatherproof covers. They usually last about a year before everything disintegrates. These were for smaller 120V pumps. I've also seen guys drill a hole through the concrete tank and plug into a weatherproof receptacle in the yard.

yeah I would like to make all the connections outside the tank, via PVC, but no homeowner would want a pvc box in the yard... the problem is I don't end up installing the conduit from the house to the pit to begin with, so I do what I can...plus they only install ONE 2" pvc conduit... they are a nightmare..and I hate doing them....
