Was it the Mono Sytems stuff? I've noticed they sell that stuff at Lowes. I've had the same problem...it's absolute trash. It was the worst garbage I've ever used.

Home Depot fixtures come with a unique feature.. fixture bars that have "wiggle room" for the 8/32 (cough) screws in the parts bag.

The funny thing that 'real' 8-32's won't fit in the holes; they're too thick.

It's as if the supplied screws are 7-32's and the strap holes are 7.5-32.

If it was genuine wiremold I will bet you placed a mounting screw behind one of the receptacle locations. Unless it is a flat head there is no room for screws behind the receptacles.

They are a metric screw and hole drilled in some of those fixtures. Just tap them out and use your own screws.

I guess tapping out your own screw holes is what makes these faster and easier to install. I see the light now. (No pun intended) :D

They weren't 8-32's they were metric.

OK.. say they are metric.. they still have "wiggle room" when you screw them into the fixture bar. I thought ALL parts in a bag were to speed up the install job. Trying to poke loose screws through the insulation on the fixture only makes it worse.

I agree with Dale. I always throw those screws away and use my tri-tap and make a real 8-32 hole. BTW, this problem isn't limited to the big box stores.
