Illuminated exit signs are required by local building codes, and battery packs will be used.
Do these signs have to be installed on a luminaire (lighting) circuit in the area of the sign or could they be on a separate branch-circuit?
 
What is the process by which you are looking this up and unable to find it?

More than likely a Em circuit will be the norm :) look through ARTICLE 700 THROUGH 800 that will help:):grin:
