I cant seem to find where it is in the code that it requires hospital emergancy circuits to be shall be in conduit. I have been told that this is required but I just need to see it. The jurisdiction Where I work uses the 2003 code. Any help with the location would be great . Thank you

It would be the 2002 or 2005 if you are talking about the NEC (there is no 2003) and you would need to read 517.30(C)(3).

517.13(A) and (B) will also be of interest.

They most certainly are, if your reading 517.16.

2003 code is the code that the inspectors use when they say 'i want' ' i prefer'. So when you cant find what they 'want' in our 2005 or 2008 , or 02, then its the 03 you need to see.
;)

Thank you! I'm in the light... :D
