I have a customer who has just installed a new CT scanner. They are asking for a cord reel dropped from the ceiling to plug in patient attached portable monitoring devices. I'm concerned with creating this system and have it be a valid install. The assembly would consist of this: ceiling mounted 20 amp twist lock receptacle, 15' cord reel with 12awg cable 3 wire to device box(woodhead) containing HG receptacle of 20 amps. I can't think of any other measures I can take to ensure a proper install for that application. Finding a cord reel with open terminations line/load may serve difficult as well.
Had I known this was a concern I would have put a floor box in during construction. Now job is complete and floor is slab on grade.
Any radiation concerns I need to worry about as well?
