I recently had an inspector state that my 6' flexible metal conduit whip to my light fixtures was not per code since it was not hospital grade flex. They did not cite a code reference and I can not find anything on this nor can I even find HG rated flex when searching. Has anyone else ran into this or do they know of the code?

Please note that I am not using a metal clad cable system or armored cable.

Thanks

Tell your inspector to read 517.13(A) again and to pay attention to all the words in there. FMC no longer than 6 feet with fittings listed for bonding/grounding meets the requirements.

You aren't finding any "hospital grade" FMC because regular FMC already meets the requirements.
