Helllo i am new to the group and have a question. Does anyone know if hospital grade MC cable is required in a Dental Office. I am getting ready to wire a new dental office and the Architect told me he thought it should be wired in Hosp grade MC. I cannot find anything to supoport this. Can anyone help me? Thanks

It really depends on what's going on in the office, but it certainly would be a good idea.

I agree and dental exam rooms certainly be meet the definition of Patient Care Areas.

Places where patient care is administered yes. Those areas are 517 covered areas. The rest of the building is not 517, so in offices, waiting rooms, etc no it is not necessary.

A Dental exam room is covered under Article 517. Check out the definition of health care facility in 517.2.
