there is a new facilty being built which will have 20 beds to administer chemo therapy , no over nite stays do the recps by the beds have to be hospital grade? does the wiring method being used need redundant grounding?

Hospital grade receptacles would be required if the area is deemed critical care, otherwise no.

This would require redundant grounding per 517.13 by 517.10 applicability

Also check with the equipment manufacturer, some require hospital grade receptacles

I wasn’t aware that critical care was the distinguishing criteria determining hospital grade was required.

Are you saying hospital grade is not required in general care?

Hospital grade receptacles are required by 517.18(B) for general care areas, 517.19(B)(2) for critical care areas and 517.19(C)(2) for operating rooms.

Only at patient sleeping beds. The OP said no overnight stays so I'm assuming they are not sleeping.
