I have a project with twist-lock receptacles in an operating room. The inspector is telling me those should be "Hospital Grade" devices. I've found a twist lock device made by both Hubbell and Leviton that says it's for "Hospital Use" but it's not labeled "Hospital Grade" and there is no green dot. So I have the following questions:
1. Is this truly a "Hospital Grade" device? If it is, why isn't it labeled as such?
2. Is it necessary for a twist-lock receptacle to be "Hospital Grade? It seems to me the locking mechanism of the receptacle meets the intent of the "Hospital Grade" standard.
