went for service inspection on a 1 family home, saw several new lines pulled.
followed 6/3 to a outdoor type hot tub in 2nd floor spare room.
failed service because permit update needed. so here is run down
hot tub insatalled on wood floor, cement and tile are installed up to hot tub would this installation require perimeter surface bonding, as required 680.26(2)
i've got both yes and no s from others

Code wording says yes. Common sence and real world application says no.

IMHO, the code wording does not require a hot tub installed inside to meet the requirements of 680.26 due to the fact that 680.43(D), in my opinion, modifies the requirement to use 680.26.
