Can you use the same circuit for a hotel bathroom (no cooking facilities except microwave) receptacle, that is being used for the rest of the room (bathroom lights, living area lights and receptacles)?

I would say not. Bathroom receptacles must be on their own dedicated 20A circuit. Lighting would usually be on 15A circuits.

The real question is if you consider this to be a guest room/suite w/ permanent provisions for cooking (210.18 says that if a guest room or suite has permanent provisions for cooking then it must meet the BC rules for dwelling units) and whether or not a MW is considered as such....

If you do, then No-The req ckt (see 210.8- GFCI rules for dwelling units) shall have no other outlets per 210.11(C)(3) -The only exception to the rule is if you were to feed the bath lights in same bathroom.

If you do not consider this a guest room suite w/ permanent cooking provisions, then there appears to be no rule against the bath rec sharing the ckt with the rest of the room as you described. Now whether or not it would be considered a good design to do it that way, is another matter entirely.
