I have light and power renovation to fitness room, meeting room, corridor and lobby of hotel. Is their anything in NEC 2014 regarding those hotel rooms I should follow?

Nothing special from the NEC. From a design consideration, you may need several individual branch circuits (dedicated receptacles, floor boxes) in the fitness rooms for the treadmills, and coax if they have built-in TVs. Many have one or two wall mounted TVs tho.

Fitness room may very well have one entire wall with mirrors on it so check that before you go setting boxes for receptacles that may wind up behind a sheet of glass.

Free standing lobby kiosks will need floor boxes too. and if you're doing the v/d/v too, dont forget about POS systems, courtesy phones, automatic teller machines, intercom for front desk paging from outside after hours, security cameras, etc.

I would watch out for ADA and hearing impaired rooms. They will require a doorbell with a strobe and visual fire alarm device. Not an NEC requirement though, this is ADA.

Two issues of contention came up in the last Hotel here.

The contractor did not understand that the hall way corridors are a fire rated assembly, The two hour wall assembly is both the corridor side and also the other side of the assembly say in a guest room the portion of the wall that makes up the corridor assembly.

Secondly the contractor thought he could use plaster rings for the fire alarm splices without any box because they are low voltage.

And on that note the boxes in the corridor assembly have to meet the fire rating provisions for a penetration in that wall

Also as already noted you will have ADA height restrictions between 15 in and 48 in.

The receptacles on the plans for the lobby breakfast area where spec. at 9 in on center, the rec. in the exercise room was placed under a viewing window , 12 in on center
