How about switches?

Ok no more pfifltrigging around. I have two questions Ill just ask in one thread. Are 15A and 20A 120v switches all 20A like receptacles? My other question is about L.E.D.'s. My teacher many years ago told me there was no real white LED. I have noticed that white LED light has a blue or purple tint. Is it my eyes, or are they just not white?

20 amp switches are not the same as 15 amp switch they are more heavy duty. I think I know the answer to the LED but someone who knows for sure should answer that.

There are no white LEDs, like there are red LEDs.

White LEDs use a phospor that glows to produce the whiteish light, so they have a discontinuous sprecturm, like a fluoro.

One thing to keep in mind, LED technology is changing at a REALLY FAST pace. There didn't used to be Blue LED's either. In fact, alot of the "white" LEDs are actually phoshor coated Blue LED's.
