How do I become a certified electrical safety instructor? I am a Professional Engineer in 5 states. I would only teach classes in states in which I am a PE.

And what organization(s) would require you to possess such a certification, before they would let you teach at their facilities?

You might want to check out http://www.asse.org/about/ They may have something useful. There is the OSHA train the trainer class for construction safety (the 500 class) and for general industry safety (the 501? class). Osha is very explicit that after taking these classes you are " authorized" NOT "certified" to teach the respective 10 hour and 30 hour

Charlie asks that as in Washington State we are not under OSHA, but WISHA.
I can instruct electrical safety classes for electricians, after I am approved as an instructor by our state electrical dept.
For my instructing classes, my BS degree in Workforce Education is as important as my master electrician certification. My point is that being a PE does not make you a good instructor, and vice versa.
