The effort was for the 5 new articles and many amendments.

Does anyone know how many existing articles were amended? And how many total articles there are? Just curious.

The 4,012 Public Inputs resulted in 1,335 First Revisions. The 1,512 Public Comments resulted approximately 850 Second Revisions. The total number of actual code changes between the 2014 and 2017 NEC will not be known until published. It will likely be 800+ changes.

There are 151 Articles in the 2014 NEC.
