I don't know of any plumbers, or HVAC guys banding together, they just seen to consider making a decent living for their family a priority, and have pride in their trade. Prices on any items wil change for a number of reasons, how much you buy, when you buy it, where you buy it, Think about how material is moved and stocked, what is it costing you to move, and stock material?

I did a job for the owner of a large plumbing supply house who was doing about a 60k renovation in his kids bathroom.
He was talking to me about buying an electrical supply house because the markup is so much higher than plumbing supplies. He was mulling it over and wanted to know what I thought about it.
Being a christian I couldnt tell him what I was really thinking at the time. So I expressed my concern with not being familiar with the material.
He didnt seem concerned at all about this.
