Hello,

Thanks for the great help that you provide me so regularly. My apologies for all of the nobrainers.

So I am here looking in my paper NEC code book at article 250 trying to find the code that states that cold water bonding systems must be bonded within a few inches of where they enter the building. For some reason it is evading me this morning. Would the search feature of the NEC in electronic format solve this problem for me?

Best,

If you know a key word or specific phrase, you can use the Search function, starting at the beginning of the Article you know it's in. A .PDF will then start searching the Article from where you are in the document. It's easy to get to that point by using Bookmarks.

If you need to quote the reference, you can copy and paste it.

Putting a copy on a portable device (tablet, phone) is much more convenient when in the field as well.

Electronic NEC

At my company we have both hard copy and electronic, and electronic version is much easier for the reasons mentioned above. Depending on where you get the pdf from it should come pre-bookmarked as well.

As a forum user the pdf is a great tool for copying and pasting code sections etc. Also the find feature is tremendous.

I’ve only used a pdf version since the 14 cycle.

Much easier for me.
