How much would a company pay for someone who has their master license in a lot or every state?

Have my masters in a few states, working on more. Wondering if anyone has heard or has information on someone leasing their to a larger company or many few companies and verifying work through videos, inspections, pictures etc?

yes I would speak to a lawyer prior to actually doing anything & yes I know not every state has a state wide licensing program

Ya never know who’s lurking here and who they have spoken too, thanks for any info y’all

Doing it in every state would be impossible, as some states don't have state-level licensing.

But yes this does happen. The question to ask is why these potential partners can't pull licenses themselves.

MA requires you to be an "officer" in the company. In addition, you have to turn in your license with you name on it and they issue you a new license with the company's name on it with you listed as the Master. Used to be a $250 dollar fee to do that and another $250 to get it back in your name if you leave. I did that twice but gave up my master's and kept my journeymen's when I retired. MA you can pull permits with a journeymen's and run a 1 man show.

I had a master in CT & VT and they have no such requirements as far as I know.

In NC you would have to be available to supervise the activities during all hours of operation. IOW's in the office.

I think most states would consider this pimping your license.
Yes, I don't think any state wants you collecting money for a license when you don't have a bona-fide involvement in the work. The whole point of licensing is to ensure quality for the consumer by screening the people involved in the work.

In California it got out of hand, so they put a stop to it. Some contractors developed a "Cottage" industry, with more job supervision than is humanly possible.
