How to determine enclosure size?

I've been searching the code for an appropriate answer...but everything seems to be based on conduit size.

My question is, if I have a jb like the one below, how do I determine the min. size of this box, assume there are no conduits, just cables and their glands

what sections of the code are applicable?

There is a whole lot of terms in the NEC Index under Junction boxes. Maybe a certain aspect of
the work was not presented in the original OP statement. Make sure that you address the needs
of the environment of the install.

Since your using a cable and showing a power distribution block that is I'll assume is under
1000 Volts, Article 314.28(E), remember that all aspects of (E) - 1 through 5 should be met.
