how to get paperwork

Hey guys I really want to try for my jmans card here in Florida. The problem I have is I have worked for several companys over the past few years. So I have no actual way of proving my four years of experience. If anyone can offer me suggestions to obtain this paperwork it would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know if florida accepts proof from an apprentiship program? thanks

Yes, graduation from a state approved apprenticeship program (ECF, ABC, FEAT, Ect.) is recogonized as equivalent to 4 years. You will need an official transcript, plus this will show your OJT approved hours.

Jim they did I dont have all four years of w2s from all of the differnt companies. I guess once I move back to Orlando Ill do my last year of appretiship and use that to get my jmans. Got to love this 85 degree weather in January. What a joke

An important rule is: to always save you pay stubs. [It helps to prove experience if you want to get into the Union.]
Bryond that, you can also go to Social Security. They will charge about $25 for a printout of your last four years. More $ for more years.

And just an added note - Speaking from experience - don't even THINK about submitting without EXACTLY what they are asking for. It WILL come back to you refused.

when i went for my licence, I had to send to all my previous employers, and ask them to sign a letter (that i wrote, and sent with a self addressed stamped envelope) stating my work experience.
