Is there a good way to mount outside lights on a pole barn that looks nice ? My employee needed 7 hours to mount 5 lights. The only way I know is what I do. To center it on a door, etc., Use composite 3/4" material fitted around the ridges, then a second layer holding a pancake box, all spray painted to match the barn siding. But it takes my helpers so long to make these. They look nice which of course pleases our customers, but my guys don't have carpenter skills. Thanks

We mount the light between ridges , with wood behind it for the box to screw to. It may not be exactly center. But I've not had any complaints. No one has even mentioned it.

Other option is a bell box. A 3o octagon will usually fit between the ribs and they have those 2by4s running horizontal so slap another perpendicular and you're good there's also the arlington boxes with a block that are for this. They have a built in pancake box and are white.
