Inspector jamal

I do believe that you had me hooked. With all my years of experience I fell for one of the biggest traps there is for article 680.

Congratulations for a job well done. The word ? Jacuzzi ? could be a lot of things. I think that Dillon3c has hit the nail on the head. You are talking about a hydromassage bathtubs or whirlpool as some would call them.

I fell for this as being a spas and hot tubs based on the way the question was asked. ?how to wire an indoor Jacuzzi?

I forgot that a Jacuzzi could be a sink.

:)

I think that 90.3 tells me that chapter six will supplement or modify chapters one through four.

I also think that 680.12 states:
680.12 Maintenance Disconnecting Means.
One or more means to disconnect all ungrounded conductors shall be provided for all utilization equipment other than lighting. Each means shall be readily accessible and within sight from its equipment.
Now I jump over to section 680.70 and here I see
680.70 General.
Hydromassage bathtubs as defined in 680.2 shall comply with Part VII of this article. They shall not be required to comply with other parts of this article.
Let?s rethink this 422.30 rule, okay I have rethought it and I understand now that this disconnect is NOT required.
